Contractor project profitability: each project as its own profit centre

A contractor operating system that keeps cost control ahead of cash: budgets, commitments, subcontracts, change orders, billing and cash flow, per project.

Context

A multi-project contractor in Indonesia. Each project carries its own budget and has to show whether it is profitable and whether there is cash for payroll next week.

Outcomes

Not yet measured. We will publish figures only once they are measured, with the method and period stated.

What the system covers

  • — Project budgets (RAB), with owner-supplied material tracked separately
  • — Subcontract (borongan) and labour, with payroll
  • — Change orders
  • — Progress billing and supplier invoices
  • — Purchase orders and goods receipts
  • — Cash-flow view and project P&L
  • — Cash vouchers (BKK/BKM) in the second tenant

Architecture

  • — Next.js and TypeScript front end on Supabase
  • — Accounting on a pinned erp-core double-entry ledger
  • — Each client on its own Supabase project

Evidence

  • — Production tenants with a broad module set and a full migration history
  • — Walkthroughs with sample data are available on request

Limitations and next steps

  • — Automated tests are being added
  • — A public synthetic demo tenant is planned
